Fashion Week Alabama (FWA) welcomes shoe designer Tyler Bailey as headliner for the 2013 Fashion Week VIP Social on Friday, March 8. Starting at 6:30pm, the event will take place at the University of Alabama in Huntsville's Wilson Hall in the Art & Art History Department's "Beautiful Art Gallery", room 160. Guests will get a sneak peak of the designer's new Italian shoe line, amid the Spring 2013 BA Student Art Exhibition by graduating students. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at www.fashionweekalabama.ticketleap.com. Food and beverage will be served. Proceeds from Fashion Week Alabama go to The Studio.
ABOUT THE STUDIO
The Studio, a 501-3(c) organization, is a street outreach program designed to have a steady and trusted presence within the community, in order to build caring relationships in which staff may teach youth the dangers of living on the street and provide other options. The Studio falls under the Tennessee Valley Family Services umbrella.
ABOUT TYLER BAILEY
Born and raised in the simple southern city of Mobile Al., Tyler Bailey is an unlikely new face of fashion. With his brazen designs and ongoing celebrity clients, it is safe to say that Tyler Bailey has began to impress the fashion industry with his unique style. A key aspect to the Tyler Bailey brand is the exclusiveness of giving each client her very own Cinderella experience.
As a young captain in the merchant marines, the safest career route for Tyler would have been to continue a career at sea. However, inspired by the many cultures of each tour, his passion for design, and fashion, Tyler decided in 2010 to retire his stable position as captain to pursue his dream of becoming a shoe designer. Family and friends attempted to dissuade him, but it fell on deaf ears as he moved to Atlanta, GA to pursue his passion that same year.
Tyler realized that his dream was possible when he posted his first shoe on a social network. The leopard print design received tremendous positive feedback, and his shoes have been spreading throughout the internet ever since. With a growing celebrity clientele, Tyler Bailey's shoes have proven to be the new brand for the fashion forward woman who commands attention.
